
(October 21, 2012 – Springfield, Mo.) Former President and CEO, James “Jim” Craig passed away Friday at the age of 89.
Craig served as the President and CEO of Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri for 35 years completely turning the organization around and helping foster an ethical marketplace for business and consumers.
“He will be greatly missed but leaves behind a lifetime of knowledge and compassion.” said current President and CEO, Judy Mills.
Craig is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth, their two children, five grandchildren and their wives as well as nine great-grandchildren.
A lifelong advocate of higher education, Craig’s legacy will carry on. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through Gorman-Scharf Funeral Home to the Jim and Ruth Craig Endowment Fund, College of Education, Missouri State University.
